Table Bussers

This position is also called: Busser, Busperson

Keeping the restaurants clean and ready for more guests is the job of the cruise ship Busboy. They are also always ready to assist waiters and waitresses when they need it to deliver food and drinks to the tables.

It is their job is to make sure that the restaurant tables are kept clean and organized in between guests, and the side stations. They help to ensure that restaurant equipment is kept in proper working order, help the management collect and store all supplies, relate complaints and feedback to the right section, and help maintain cleanliness according to prescribed standards. Keeping damage and breakage to a minimum is expected. A Busser on a cruise ship will have other chores assigned to him or her as well.

Being a Busboy on a cruise ship requires that you are able to do a lot of walking, carrying, and lifting. You will need to have graduated from High School or have a GED. Experience in a restaurant for at least year is expected.
