Disc Jockeys
On a cruise ship, Disc Jockeys are needed to help entertain the passengers with all kinds of music. Since they will be expected to perform at a wide variety of activities, they need to be familiar with all kinds of music.
A DJ will need to be able to do a lot more than just play music, however, in order to get a job on a luxury cruise ship. They also will need to:
- Move and help set up equipment for shows, parties, practices, and other activities.
- Develop and maintain daily play lists.
- Perform public speaking – acting as an emcee when needed.
- Lead in activities such as bingo, sports challenges, and pool games.
