Receptionists

The Receptionist works at the "front desk" of the cruise ship and performs similar functions like a clerk in a hotel. In a very courteous and professional manner, they check the passengers in and out, answer their questions, and handle complaints or problems.

Among their often varied tasks, the Receptionist is the primary face of the cruise ship to the guests. They provide information, exchange traveller’s checks for foreign currencies, process embarkations, handle lost and found items, make announcements over the PA, deals with complaints in a very friendly manner, and more.

An applicant for the Receptionist position needs to be friendly, have excellent English and a good speaking voice, and be able to remain calm in possibly stressful interactions with passengers. They will also need to have computer skills, perform cash calculations, and they may need some experience at a hotel front desk. This is an entry level position.
