Cabin Stewards

This position is also called: Cabin Stewardess, Cabin Attendant, Stateroom Attendants, Hotel Stewards

Keeping the guests happy on a cruise ship requires a lot of people – especially when it comes to cleanliness. A Cabin Steward, along with other housekeeping staff, works hard to keep the public areas and staterooms looking their best. This department is one of the largest on board.

Hotel Stewards are responsible to maintain the cleanliness of a certain number of staterooms. They make sure the bedding is clean and arranged, perform room service, instruct passengers on how to use the appliances in their rooms, let guests know of cruise activities, explain emergency procedures, and help guests with special needs. On some ships, they may also help passengers with luggage, and possibly help with laundry.

Requirements for the position of Cabin Steward are that you need to be a High School graduate and have at least one year of experience in working with hotels. You will be expected to be able to speak good English, and other languages may be required. You also need to be friendly and customer-oriented.
