Bellman

This position is also called: Bellhop, Bellperson, Bell Staff, Room Service Attendant

Helping passengers get to their rooms with their luggage, and ensuring that passengers onboard a cruise ship get what they need is the job of a Bellman. With similar duties to that of a bellman in a hotel or resort, they make life more comfortable.

A Bellman on a cruise ship provides basic services to the guests, and this can be rather wide-ranging. It includes moving luggage, providing information and directions, escorting guests to their rooms, delivering messages and orders for room service, run errands, explain various room features, clean lobbies, and more. They will also help to provide security.

There really are only a couple of requirements for this entry level position. You will need to be able to speak and write in excellent English, have a H.S. Diploma, be friendly, and be able to lift and carry packages and luggage. You will also need to have some experience working in a hotel or cruise ship. Contracts are usually for several months.

Compensation: $1,000 – $1,500 a month plus tips
