Social Hosts and Hostesses
Social Hosts and Hostesses have the opportunity to do a lot of mingling and meet a wide variety of people from all over the world. They are a very visible part of the cruise staff and they add to the overall cruise experience for many of the passengers.
In Focus: Cruise Entertainment Staff
Their duties are wide ranging but start by greeting passengers as they come on board, and when they leave. They may act as Master of Ceremonies at some events and will introduce the Captain at the Captain’s Ball. Social Hosts and Hostesses will also:
- Help shore excursion staff.
- Arrange parties and dinners.
- Give talks while in port.
- Assist in the ship’s library.
